As the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) heads to its much-anticipated elective congress on November 1 in Serowe, the party stands at a defining crossroads, whether to rekindle its old alliance with the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) or to chart an independent political course.
Two rival lobbies have emerged, led by Assistant Minister of Health and Nata/Gweta MP Lawrence Ookeditse and party president Mephato Reatile, each offering sharply different visions for the BPF’s future.
