One of his notable contributions in 2008, was in improving diamond cleaning processes at Jwaneng

Mine during the time that the then BDVC was transitioning to Diamond Trading Company Botswana.

Between 2013  and 2018, Serumola held the position of Senior Ore Processing Manager in the Ore Processing department  where he led a diverse team  of engineers and  metallurgists  to  achieve excellent results in operation and maintenance of all the diamond processing plants at Jwaneng Mine. In 2015, Serumola led a cross-functional team to develop and launch a new behavioural safety program called Remmogo which is anchored on safety leadership, risk management, near hit reporting & closure, and learning from incidents. Through his energy and focused engagement on Jwaneng Mine employees and business partners, he has influenced a positive safety culture that embodies a sense of ownership and genuine care for people. As Assistant General Manager, his primary responsibilities were in leading people, safety, production (Mining,  Processing, MRM and Engineering)  and business intelligence. Key to these deliverables was championing the Trade Union-Management consultative forum at Jwaneng Mine and various company levels.  Serumola  has  successfully  transitioned   Cut  8  from  Contractor  to  Owner  Mining  and commissioned Cut 9 mining.

Serumola has also undergone several leadership development programs including the prestigious

Executing Strategy for Results from the London Business School. Serumola is married to Francinah Tjitjindua and they have two children.
