This milestone follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Choppies Enterprises and the Ministry,cementing their commitment to supportingnationalprioritiesinjobcreation,skillsdevelopment,andeconomic growth.

Internswillundergotrainingandmentorshipacrosskeydepartmentsincluding Financeand Accounting, Marketing, SecurityandCompliance, Operations, and HumanResources.Theprogramis designed to provide meaningful,hands-on experience in the retail and supply chain sectors.

Acornerstoneoftheinitiativeisthelocalizationstrategy,whichfocuseson upskillingBatswanathroughtechnicaltraining,structuredmentorship,and careerplanning.Bydoingso,theprogramaimstocultivateapoolofskilled professionals ready to contribute to the local and regional job markets.

Plans are also underway to send selected interns to Choppies operations in Zambia and Namibia, offering international exposure and cross-border learning experiencesthatwillfurtherenrichtheirtrainingandprofessionaldevelopment.
