FINANCIAL SERVICES OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

Choppies is seeking for a Financial Service Operations Manager for its Botswana Operations.

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the Distribution Centre to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency. The role focuses on financial planning, reporting, and process improvement to support operational performance and strategic decision-making.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manageday-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, managing reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets and ensure cost control within approved
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, audit, and corporate governance
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and procurement teams to enhance financial and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting
  • Supervise and develop finance team members to achieve departmental
  • Support management with financial analysis and insights for decision-

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s Degree will bean added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial manage mentor operations, preferably within a retail, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational
  • Excellent knowledge of financial systems, budgeting, and reporting
  • High level of intergrity, attention to detail, and ability to work underpressure.
