Bonno Housing scheme is back in the spotlight following Minister of Water and Sanitation Services-Onneetse Ramogapi’s claimthat 34,567 houses have been built,sparking public outrage with many challenging the veracity of such figures and accusing him of dishonesty.

Ramogapi made the startling remarks when giving an update on his ministry’s achievements since the Umbrella for Demoractic Change (UDC) government came into power. He clarified that what he said has been misconstrued,explaining that thehouses referred to span across different constituencies and areat different stages of construction, and not completed.
