The registration of new Novel Corona Virus cases around the world and in Botswana are evidence that the disease here to stay. The government is currently overwhelmed by the pandemic in every department and the president had pleaded individuals and companies to help with the fight against the pandemic.
In an effort to help the government with this fight Kia Motors & Tyre World joined list of other businesses around the country by donating hand sanitizers worth P30 000 to Serowe Administration Authority.
When receiving the donation, Serowe Sub Council Chairperson Lesedi Phuthego applauded the company for their contribution which he said heeded to the president plea to Batswana and companies to help in the fight against covid 19. He further said the business community has an obligation to be involved with this fight because once the disease affects the people their business will then close. “By giving out this sanitizers and anything to protect people and help with the fight against the disease is a way of protecting your businesses at the same time” said Phuthego.
Phuthego implored businesses who have not contributed to the president plea for support to emulate companies like Kia & Tyre World because the fight against the pandemic is still on as the country is continuing to register other cases. “At this moment we need this kind of donations more than anything to protect the people, so that we may not find ourselves back to lockdown” he said
For her part Serowe Tyre World branch manager Gofaone Ntusang said the donation is not only an answer to the president appeal but it is also part of their effort to help in the fight against covid 19 and protect their customers and business in the process.
