Statistics Botswana flat broke

The Hollywood-style arrest of former Directorate of Intelligence Services (DIS) Director General Isaac Kgosi has come to haunt the Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS).
Gaborone High Court Justice Zein Kebonang has ordered BURS to pay Kgosi for the unlawful arrest at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in 2019.
Justice Kebonang also directed that the damages claim of P50 million being an unliquidated amount to be assessed on the 2nd of August 2021
Kgosi demands P50 million for an unlawful warrant of arrest and detention in a military prison at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks.
