Botswana Land Boards, Local Authorities and Health Workers Union(BLLAHWU) president Thatayaone Kesebonye hasapplauded the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) for the noticeable changes it has made after taking overgovernment in October 2024.
Addressing the 7th Triennial Congress in Francistown this week,Kesebonye highlighted the government decision to in-source government security, landscaping and cleaning services, a move he believes will improve wages and protect workers from exploitation by private companies.He also said the policy shift not only reflects the union’s anti‑privatization stance, but it would benefit many Batswana.
