Standard Bank wins 17 awards at Euromoney Awards

Standard Bank Group has been recognised with 17 awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026. For more than 30 years, Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence have recognised financial institutions that set the global standard in performance, innovation and client impact. Standard Bank Group was recognised for its excellence across securities services, corporate and investment banking, and SME banking in Africa’s key markets, affirming its position as the continent’s leading financial services provider.

The accolades include: Africa’s Best SME Banking Ecosystem, Africa’s Best for Securities Services, Africa’s Best Investment Bank for Equity Capital Markets, South Africa’s Best Bank for Large Corporates, Angola’s Best Investment Bank, Uganda’s Best Investment Bank, Kenya’s Best Investment Bank, Ghana’s Best Investment Bank, Tanzania’s Best Investment Bank, Mauritius’s Best Investment Bank, Mauritius’s Best Bank for Large Corporates, Mozambique’s Best Investment Bank, Namibia’s Best Investment Bank, Botswana’s Best Investment Bank, Botswana’s Best Bank for Large Corporates, Nigeria’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance, Malawi’s Best Bank.

The accolades add to a strong year of recognition for the Group. Standard Bank was recently ranked South Africa’s most AI-mature bank and second overall across the Middle East and Africa in the inaugural Evident AI Index for Banks. Brand Finance named Standard Bank Africa’s and South Africa’s Most Valuable Banking Brand for the fifth consecutive year. The bank also secured top honours across six categories at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026 earlier this year.
