President Duma Boko on Tuesday officially launched the Centralised Traffic Control (CTC) Centre at the Gaborone Fire Brigade, a long-awaited facility expected to change how traffic is managed, monitored and enforced across Greater Gaborone.
The centre, which has been operational since March 2025, is the control hub of the Greater Gaborone Traffic Signaling Modernization Project, a P534 million initiative jointly funded by the Government of Botswana and the World Bank under the Botswana Integrated Transport Project (BITP), implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
