Setting a tone of urgent economic transformation, President Duma Boko officially opened the 2025 Botswana Pula Expo, insisting that the nation was in a "do or die situation" that demands disruptive innovation to break from its resource-dependent past.

The Expo, held under the theme “Unlocking Botswana’s Potential: Partnership for Sustainable Growth,” commenced with the high-stakes Pula Investment Conference at the capital’s main arena. The event has drawn a global assembly of investors, business leaders, and diplomats, all focused on the government’s ambitious Botswana Economic Transformation Programme (BETP).
