GetBucks Botswana heeded to governments call and donated over P200 000 to the COVID 19 Relief efforts both in kind and monetary assistance. The official hand over of the donation were received by Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration Kabo Morwaeng.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration Kabo Morwaeng commanded companies and individuals who continue to make donations to the relief fund. He further stated that donors have become a huge part of the solutions implemented

A P100 000.00 was presented to be the Office of the president, the other P120 000 was donated to Lapologang Primary School in-kind. The Lapologang donation included,

•       Thermometers

•       Hand Sanitizers

•       Sensory sanitizer dispensers

•       Bins

•       Tissue Roll

GetBucks Botswana adopted Lapologang Primary School in 2018, under the Minister of Basic Education’s Adopt-A- School’ initiative. Since the inception of the relationship, GetBucks has donated over P400 000 which created a positive impact in the school’s performance.

Speaking at the event, GetBucks representative Marshal Chimedza said “As Government continues to relax Lockdown restrictions, let us not forget, the fight is not over. Let’s continue to keep safe and practice social distancing.”

Chimedza called out to other corporate bodies to in the private sector to continue helping the government in this fight.
