FNBB through its Corporate Social Responsibility division, FNBB Foundation, will roll out a series of initiatives to assist Government’s interventions towards the fight against Covid-19.
Following its earlier donation of P10 million Pula to support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19, FNBB will be making a further cash contribution of P360 000.00 towards disinfecting public spaces countrywide. The initiative will be supported by a local youth SMME, KPS Hygiene Services, through a cash equivalent contribution of P140 000.00.
“Covid-19 is a major humanitarian challenge which has affected the world and Botswana. Given that the virus is one of the most contagious of modern times, frequented public spaces such as bus ranks, malls, District Commissioners’ offices and Kgotla’s around the country are hot spots for potentially spreading the Coronavirus,” said FNBB Director of Marketing & Communications, Peo Porogo.
The disinfection will take place in Greater Gaborone, Molepolole, Palapye,Kanye, Serowe , Francistown and Maun.
“We commend KPS Hygiene Services for its collaborative effort. We can only fight this pandemic if we join hands and work together,” said Porogo. FNBB Foundation is committed to providing support in combating the spread of the Covid-19.
