Former cabinet minister, Dr Kefentse Mzwinila has received with shock, information from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship flagging his passport and those of his family, amid Directorate on Economic and Crime Corruption (DCEC) investigations against him. He previously served as Minister of Lands and Water Affairs under the deposed Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) government led by Mokgweetsi Masisi.

Signed by the Acting Director of Immigration and Citizenship -Andries Moeng, and dated November 20th, 2025 the savingram instructs border managers to manually circulate the alert due to system failures.
