As the newly hired outspoken Jwaneng Galaxy Coach Nikola Kavazovic prepares to take full charge in a bid to win the BTC Premiership title, reports say that the Serbian manager is not ready to work with his current assistant coach, Oris Radipotsane.

Galaxy management have been qucik to deny the allegations.

Radipotsane has been at the helm of team as the interim coach after the high flying Jwaneng based outfit decided to part ways with former Portuguese coach Miguel da Costa last month. Da Costa who won Mascom Top 8 title with Galaxy in 2019 was sacked by the club immediately after Galaxy suffered 1-0 defeat to Security Systems during a league match. Thereafter, Oris took the hot seat on an interim basis.

Just last week, Galaxy appointed the former Township Rollers and Gaborone United coach, Kavazovic to replace Da Costa. He hit the ground running with a 2-0 win against Mochudi Rovers in the Orange FA Cup last 16 tie last week.

Known for his no-nonsense approach and love to stamp authority, rumors made rounds on Friday morning that the outspoken Serbian mentor made it clear that he cannot work with Oris.

Reached for a comment over alleged fall out between Nikola and Oris,   Galaxy Spokesperson Tankiso Morake said the club is not aware of any existing fallout between the two mentors. Morake further told The Patriot Sport that when Nikola was hired the club made it clear to him that he will work with Radipotsane ashis assistant hence neither Nikola nor Oris has raised any complaint.

“I can confirm to you that both coaches are working together in the technical team without any problem. Nikola has never told us he can’t work with Oris and Oris never shown his desire of not working with him. There is stability within our technical team at the moment,” Morake added.

Galaxy mouthpiece further said the new coach has been given the mandate to guide the club to its first premier league title in the current campaign which is on break due to Covi-19 pandemic.

Kavazovic is known of pushing out the assistant coaches that he finds in the team as he shown desire not to work with locals Mogomotsi Mpote at Rollers and Stephen Maphosa at GU when he took charge of the teams and all eyes will be whether the Serbian will work well with Oris.

The Jwaneng side seats at the summit of the log with 41 points from 20 games and stands in a good position to win the title as seasonal league favorites Township Rollers is not consistent. “We brought in Nikola because we are aiming to finish this season with league title because we have already missed out to win Mascom Top 8 this year. We have been impressive so far and we just need to carry on but with Nikola’s experience we can win this league,’ Morake stated.

He also said the suspension of the league because of Covid-19 is likely to affect the team’s momentum by the time league resumes but said the team is fully training at the moment.

“The boys are in full training but we are bearing in mind the prevention health measures by government to avoid the possibilities of contracting the Coronavirus,” Galaxy PR maintained.
