Botswana’s main public sector unions, the 5+1 have won a major victory against government in the ongoing pay talks dispute, after the Court of Appeal ruled in their favour and allowed their case to proceed urgently.
The decision, delivered by Justice Lot Moroka with Justices Isaac Dambe and Gotsile Tebogo-Maruping concurring, means the unions can now appeal immediately against an earlier Industrial Court ruling that had dismissed their application.
