  1. SURVEY TECHNICIAN x (1)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To deliver all opencast survey services on site consistent with survey code of practice and statutory requirements

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Geomatics,
  • Results and time driven.
  • People orientated and ability to work with staff, management, and clients.
  • Quality and accuracy conscious.
  • At least 2 years’ work experience.
  • A valid Class B driver’s licence
  • Safety oriented and output driven.
  • Written and verbal communication skills is an essential condition and be able to communicate

at all levels.

  • Must have sober habits

  • Knowledge of Survey Softwares
  • Knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately collects data and information to be communicated.
  • Setting up Grade Boxes for control of loading floor elevations
  • Setting out mining limits such as ramp limits, dumping limits, loading limits ETC; using GPS

aid to transfer designs to physical ground

  • Demonstration of maximisation of time on execution of tasks, less time on unimportant ones

and more time on important aspects.

  • Safely carries out collection of As-drilled hole positions in line with the established legal

requirements.

  • Carries out surveying of accident/incident scenes as and required and in accordance with

the established survey standards and safe acceptable practices.

  • Maintains compliance of the established procedures and guidelines, quality control and

assurance in execution of survey activities and best practices.

  • Maintains indicator graphs generation and distribution on the basis of field data surveys, data

validation, data processing and electronic pit DTMs.

  • Regular maintenance of company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

to ensure safe working atmosphere as well as compliance with relevant provisions of MQWM

Act and SOPs.

  • Collection of accurate and up to date spatial data and other related information to enable

survey report generation.

  • Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).

 

  1. SHIFT SUPERVISOR-SWING x (1)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in drawing out and processing excavated material and mandatory compliance in terms of appointment as per MQWMA Section 18.1, as well as to ensure optimisation of earthmoving activities in accordance with production goals and scheduling, alongside maintaining best.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma in Mining or related and Blasting Licence.
  • At least 3 years’ work experience.
  • A valid Class B driver’s license
  • Knowledge of opencast and earthmoving machines
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Written and verbal communication skills is an essential condition and be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Must have sober habits
  • Behavioural Skills, interpersonal and work task planning skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provision of duties in running production shifts within Reg. 18.1, and other relevant parameters of the MQWMA, Employment Act and SOPs etc.
  • Regularly follows Production Schedules in line with the instructions issued out by the

immediate supervisor.

  • Knowledge of the organization’s definition of confidential information and urging subordinate

employees to comply

  • Overall motivation of staff to enhance individual performance and contributing meaningfully to organizational excellence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of production programs prior to execution, plans and

organising utilisation of relevant resources.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To obtain materials and documents to accomplish requests for purchases, including preparing purchase orders and handling inquiries about orders. Timely expedites purchase orders to fulfil and ensure consignments arrive undamaged and well on time.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Business Management Certificate or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in a Mining Environment
  • A valid Class B driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of opencast and earthmoving machines
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Attention to detail
  • Medically fit

To carry out routine Engineering Clerical functions in terms of the designed, unplanned, upcoming and concluded equipment maintenances and repairs. Collecting entire equipment data and information for accurate document control management system so such files are available for record keeping and decision-making.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma in Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in a Mining Environment
  • A valid Class B driver’s licence
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have sober habits
  • Attention to detail
  • Medically fit
  • Behavioural Skills, interpersonal and work task planning skills
  • Administrative skills and good presentation skills.

  • Sound knowledge of principles and techniques of heavy plant equipment used in open pit

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To safely operate equipment in accordance with the established Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ISO45001 working ethics.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Junior Certificate (JC)/Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE).
  • Equipment Operational Competency Certificate (MTTC).
  • Behavioural Skills, interpersonal and work task planning skills
  • At least 3 years’ work experience.
  • A valid Class B driver’s
  • Knowledge of opencast and earthmoving machines
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have sober habits
  • Problem solving skills, efficiency and organisational
  • Medically fit

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effective delivery of production assignments within budget, on time and to the required

quality standards.

  • Safe and productive maximum utilisation of machine in custody.
  • Ensure that all equipment in custody is manned according to the established operating

standards.

  • Timely complete and text minor service, post-trip and post-use inspection of equipment.
  • Ability to apply readiness when risk associated situations arise, application should be in line

with the established company policy and procedure.

  • Regular liaison with supervisory personnel with regard to manpower and equipment

availabilities, utilisations and breakdowns.

  • Regular safe operation of equipment in an acceptable manner and in accordance with the

established company operating standards (SOPs) and in line with ISO values.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To carry out general manual work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the established Company SOPs and applicable ISO standards.

  • Junior Certificate (JC).
  • Physical strength.
  • Hand-eye coordination and endurance
  • Concentration, estimation, and communication skills
  • Ability to use necessary tools and machines for assigned job tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Systematically follows safety standards and works under direct supervision in line with

relevant SOPs and other acceptable safe practices as well as ISO values.

  • Basic knowledge of heavy earth moving equipment and correct PPE use when carrying out

assigned manual duties and responsibilities will be an added advantage.

  • Regularly maintains good housekeeping.
  • Assists in arranging for inspections and audits as planned and guided.
  • Demonstration of an awareness on risk management knowledge and applicable policies and Procedures.

  1. ARTISAN MECHANIC x (2)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To effectively and efficiently carry out planned and non-scheduled diesel engine repairs and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, general inspection, correct flaws in automotive components,electrical, air conditions, fuel, valve mechanisms, linkages, oil systems, and traction units in accordance with SOPs and ISO values.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • National Craft Certificate (NCC) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ work experience.
  • Accountability and Quality courteous.
  • Problem solving skills and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as: OEM Maintenance plans.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Operators Testing Licence / Certificate
  • Safety Consciousness
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Medically fit.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collection of relevant data and information for reporting and decision-making purpose also

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To repair work on heavy mining equipment such as dump truck trays, excavator buckets, dozer trackframes and miscellaneous other machinery in accordance with the established Company SOPs and ISO values.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • National Craft Certificate (NCC) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ work experience.
  • A valid Class B driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of opencast and earthmoving machines
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Must have sober habits
  • Medically fit

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts boiler-making inspections and audits as planned and guided.
  • Maintains boiler making Job Cards and other relevant documentation as reference point for equipment maintenances and repairs.
