Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) earned US$110 million (about P1.1 billion) during its October Spot Auction sale. The October online spot auction coincided with the company’s participation at the world-acclaimed EXPO 2020 Dubai.
Managing Director of Okavango Diamond Company, Mmetla Masire, said, “prior to the October sale, ODC’s September Spot Auction sale generated US$123 million. The September 2021 sale to date represents the largest one-day Diamond Auction sale ever conducted for rough natural diamonds.”
The state-owned entity is currently hosting its sixth standard diamond viewing for the year with Botswana diamonds being shown in Antwerp, Belgium (from 2nd – 10th November), and Gaborone (from the 18th – 19th November 2021). ODC will hold its November Spot Auction Sale on the 22nd November 2021 at 12:00 hours (Botswana Time).
