The Patriot Woman celebrates women who continue to advance in their careers. These are just some of the many:

1.  Keabetswe Pheko-Mogashane is the new Managing Director for Barclays Bank Botswana. She becomes the first local woman to hold the position and commenced work on April 1st 2019.  She is the successor to Van de Merwe, who had been at the bank for five years before stepping down. Pheko-Moshagane has held different positions within the bank including that of Chief Operations Officer (COO). She also holds an undergraduate degree from Tshwane University of Technology.

2.  Tsoseletso ‘Tsosi’ Magang is the newly appointed vice chairperson of the Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) and will act as the commission’s chairperson until July 31st when the appointing authority in Minister of Youth Sports, Empowerment and Culture, Tshekedi Khama will appoint the substantive Chairperson. The former athlete has also been serving as a BNSC board member for some time.

3.  Rorisang Modikana was appointed the new Botswana Life Insurance Limited (BLIL) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following 11-years of service within the BIHL Group. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg and a Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from BAC.

4.  Obonye Malope is the new Head of Marketing & Corporate Relations at Barclays Bank of Botswana. She was previously with First National Bank of Botswana (FNBB) as Director of Marketing and Communications. She is an experienced marketing professional with a demonstrated history of driving brand growth and insights driven marketing in financial services and telecommunications industries. She has worked for Mascom Wireless as well. She is currently pursuing Leadership MBA from The African Leadership University.
