Botswana’s leading life insurer, Botswana Life Insurance Limited (BLIL), has unveiled Monkgogi,a ground-breaking funeral solution designed to ease the financial burden of loss while offering living benefits that address the needs of Batswana families.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held on 14 October 2025, Executive Director-Retail at Botswana Life, Neo Bogatsu, said the name Monkgogi, which translates to ‘my rescuer in a time of need’ represents a first-of-its-kind innovative funeral solution in Botswana. She noted that the plan offers a comprehensive financial protection package with a range of unique benefits tailored to meet the real needs of families.
