We have noted with concern untrue claims circulating across social media insinuating that there shall be no Youth Development Funds this year.
Contrary to the disheartening headline, “No YDF this year?!”, we are thrilled to inform you that the government has indeed allocated funds for this vital initiative as a testament to their unwavering commitment to the growth and empowerment of our youth.
The government’s decision to continue funding youth development initiatives signifies their recognition of the immense potential within our youth and thus actively fostering a society where young individuals can flourish and contribute to the nation’s progress.
It is through these financial instruments that the BDP-led government continues to prioritise youth development by investing in their skill development, and entrepreneurial endeavors to empower them to become the leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.
We therefore applaud the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Gender and Culture and Ministry of Entrepreneurship for their commitment to the youth and eagerly anticipate the forthcoming announcement regarding the opening date for applications. This step ensures that youth-led organizations, individuals, and youth groups can start preparing their proposals and seize this opportunity to access the necessary funding for their youth-centric projects.
We strongly urge media houses and online publications to solicit factual information from the relevant authorities regarding such sensitive issues of national interest before communicating the same to the public causing unnecessary confusion.
