. Word Crackers partner with Malepa Tech to develop platform

Word Crackers Tutorials continues to lead with the solutions that responsive and accessible to the learning needs of students amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

The leading local tuition centre has on 30 June 2021 successfully launched the e-ithute Learning Management System (LMS) that is aimed to cater for all tutorial needs from primary to tertiary tutoring.

The e-ithute online tutorial platform was developed as a collaborative effort with Malepa Tech and it does blends the traditional mode of education delivery with a contemporary virtual ways.

Also, the e-ithute allows the interactive connection between learners and their tutors hence it’s enabling tutors to identify gaps and challenges that learners might be facing with their school work.

Founder and Director of Word Crackers, Sydney Sebifelo, expressed optimism for their new LMS.

He said that the main focus after the successful launch of e-ithute it to roll it across the country.

“I am really looking forward to reaching every corner of Botswana and so making sure that the learners access the e-ithute LMS to improve and supplement their learning. I believe with a no reasonable doubt that the platform will offer quality education to learners and lead to a unique success to their academics,” said Word Crackers Founder and Director Sebifelo full of optimism.

The occasion of the e-ithute LMS launch was honoured by the presence of the Chief Education Officer- Department of Basic Education Rapelang Bogatsu and Councillor Honorable Joyce Tumagole.

Giving a keynote address, Chief Education Officer Annah Bogatsu commended the collaboration between Word Crackers and Malepa Tech is a step on the right direction in digitalizing the learning.

The collaboration between these two companies is a testament and proof that collaboration is possible and yield greater results for all that competition does. The impact of these two companies in the tech and education space will be historic and revolutionary with a goal the reach continental and global heights,” said Bogatsu reiterating the importance of making learning to be easily accessible.

Furthermore, Bogatsu indicated that Word Crackers believes that children have the right to a quality education, and as such remedial learning and personalized tutoring is the best means of improving the learner performance as well as enhancing the standards and quality of education.

For her part councillorJoyce Tumagole said that the e-ithute LMS is ground-breaking innovation in response to the cry of many parents and educators during the unprecedented era of COVID 19.

E-ithute, Tumagole said, therefore comes at the right time to digitalise education in Botswana and offer learners’ opportunities to learn beyond the classroom adding that it is her prayer and sincere hope that the e-ithute LMS will positively impacts the quality of education in Botswana.

“As we all are aware  the COVID 19 has affected many systems worldwide leading to the halt of many institutions and organisations including education. It gives me pleasure that we are here today celebrating the work of young people who took it upon themselves to come up with innovative solutions to curb this disruption, as we are now talking of moving from disruption to recovery,” she said.

Word Crackers Tutorials is a tuition service business that offers remedial and tutorial services to learners from primary to tertiary education level, with offices in Gaborone, Francistown and Maun respectively.

On the other hand, Malepa-Tech aims to continentally establish itself as a tech-savvy company and leading in innovation, solutions, and education. It thrives to accelerate the fourth industrial revolution through the fusion and a integration of modern advances in robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, drone technology, education and 3D printing to mention a few.
