Department of Political and Administrative Studies

Temporary Fulltime Senior Lecturer in Public Administration *REF: Vacancy No. IRC 2919

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have: (i) a PhD in Public Administration or related discipline; ii) Minimum of six (6) pieces of research products (e.g. articles,book chapters, peer reviewed conference proceedings etc.) published by recognized publishers. Four (4) of the Six (6) publications above must be articles in refereed/ accredited journals in internationally recognized databases iii)Demonstration of effective academic leadership, relevant teaching/research experience on Africa and capacity to handle short-term executive training courses will be an added advantage.UNIVERSITY TEACHING EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: Three (3) years.

 

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; (ii) be able to teach at least three of the following: Research Methods and Computer Applications, Public Sector Reforms, Public Sector Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Local Government Management, Industrial Relations, Public Policy and Administration; Development Administration, Advance Qualitative Methods and International Administration; (iii) carry out any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the Head of Department.
