– Listing improved our services to customers-

BTCL Board Chairperson Botswana Stock Exchange ( BSE) Chief Executive Officer ( CEO), Thapelo Tsheole, has commended Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited ( BTCL) for boosting BSE. Speaking this morning during BTCL’s 40th Anniversary celebrations at November Opening Bell Ceremony, he said BTCL is one of the many success stories that they have witnessed in recent years at BSE. ” Firstly, BTCL is the first State Owned- Entity (SOE) to privatise and list on the national stock exchange,” said Tsheole. He noted that BTCL listing enduced a conversation with government, to pave way for other SOEs to utilise BSE as a capital raising platform and promote citizen economic empowerment by listing on the local bourse. BTC Board Chairperson Lorato Boakgomo Ntakhwana said the listing strengthened their resolve to improve its services to customers and shareholder value. ” So far, we have managed to deliver the highest yield on the local exchange thereby creating wealth to our shareholders,” said Ntakhwana.
