Sechaba Brewery Holdings Limited (SBHL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Mabu Nteta to the position of Managing Director with effect from 1 July 2021. Mabu replaced Thabo Matthews who had resigned with effect from 30 June 2021. Her appointment has been approved by the SBHL Board of Directors and at the Annual General Meeting. Mabu Nteta is a self-made entrepreneur and business leader who holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, a Masters in Business administration (MBA) degree and is the Founder of Service Bridges Consulting (SBC). Mabu Nteta in her role as a transformation practitioner has vast experience in providing a wide range of comprehensive turnaround consulting services. She has extensive experience in corporate governance and leadership from both training, facilitation board evaluation and leadership perspective. Mabu serves on the First Mutual Reinsurance (FMRE) Board of Directors, and has held Directorship roles in private and parastatal organisations such as the National Development Bank, where she served as vice Chairperson, Chairperson of the Board Transformation Committee and member of the Board HR Committee. Mabu has additionally served on the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) as Chairperson of the Board.

Directing and facilitating leadership alignment and governance interventions for various private and parastatal organisations Mabu’s association with, contribution to and membership in various entities have earned her a credible leadership stature. She has occupied influential, sought after partnership positions that have allowed her to flex her problem-solving muscles and co-create innovative solutions with her various associates and corporate partners. While most of her experience is rooted in Botswana, Mabu has consulted extensively in the SADC region. She has facilitated strategy development and effective Governance interventions in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia and Malawi for various organisations. She is a certified Corporate Governance and Board Procedures Facilitator and bringing in her own brand of intelligence, forthrightness and professionalism, the companies she has partnered with have witnessed her abilities in steering them through turnarounds, and volatile competitive landscapes. These experiences have culminated in her being a humble and experienced, thought leader on organizational development and performance improvement. Mabu is an advocate for social change and community participation. She is a human rights activist who specifically champions women and youth empowerment through her directorship of “Wave Women and Girls Organisation” and “Ja Phala Youth Organisation” She has published “The Loud Silent Women” “Botswana ; A unique Destination” and co-authored the “Pandemic Diaries” with a group of Batswana women. Mabu holds family in high regard and is a devoted wife, mother and recently doting grandmother. She has absolute love for country and believes in African Excellence. Fluent in Setswana, English, Kalanga, and French. Mabu enjoys reading, writing and has a podcast “The Cinnamon room” where she enjoys mutual exchanges with people across the globe.
