  • Launch the joint community project in Bokspits

To promote entrepreneurship and Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) in Botswana, Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) -a parastatal under the Ministry of Investment Trade and Industry on Friday (12th November 2021) donated specialised equipment to the BORAVAST Trust in Bokspits.

As part their mandate LEA identify community projects that have potential to scale up, increase production, create employment and diversify the local economy to drive business growth and sustainability. To this end, LEA has partnered with the BORAVAST Trust -a community project that harvests and processes an invasive tree species popularly known as Sexanana (Prosopis Mesquite), into various products such as livestock feeds and charcoal. The project is based at Bokspits but is a collective initiative that benefits three other villages namely: Rappelspan, Vaalhoek and Struizendam.
