Home grown research and training company, I-Six Logistics Consultants is very optimistic that it will continue to grow beyond Botswana to explore more regional footprint as it celebrates 10th anniversary.

I-Six Logistics will on Monday start its weeklong 10 years celebrations in the capital Gaborone.

I-Six Logistics Public Relations and Communications Manager Kabo Ditlhakeng said the business celebrates a decade of existence with a lot of optimism and courage, saying they have grown in leaps and bounds from humble beginnings.

Ditlhakeng said adhering to corporate governance has helped the business to remain focused, insisting that as a middle company, I-Six consists of an independent non-executive board.

The board, he said, it is crucial in guiding management on the strategic direction the business must pursue.

“Our 10th anniversary which resembles a significant milestone is premised on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which forms a core aspect of the business growth. We will be giving back to the community through seminars that are speaking to challenges that emanate from the COVID-19 pandemic. As a research and training entity we work with communities,” he said.

According to him, I-Six has lined up experts on different sectors to deliver business sessions.

He said theme of the I-Six 10th anniversary is “Growing together – Giving back to the Community”.

“The first seminar billed for Tuesday will be focusing on business strategy in an era of COVID-19 by Professor Jaloni Pansira. On Wednesday, an emotional intelligence expert Pangaman Kaisara will preside on seminar that is aimed at addressing Gender Based Violence (GBV) which spiraled during Covid-19 era due to lockdowns impact. Other experts in Tumi Modise and Tefo Phatshwane will do a seminar on alternative communication on how to do business amid COVID-19,” he said.

On Friday, I-Six will wrap the events with a handover of materials in form of food, sanitizers and COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Camphill Community Trust in Otse, South East.

Moreover, Ditlhakeng indicated that the business also looks at reaching more markets abroad.

“We have what is called a faculty that comprises of the researchers, professors and freelance consultants outside Botswana. We have done consultancy in countries such as Zambia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya and Lesotho in Africa United Kingdom and USA in Europe. We eyeing more,” he added.

Ditlhakeng said the business has remained resilient amid the COVID-19 economic strain.

He said that the business was quick to line up its strategy to the way of doing business, adding that the better part of 2020 was used to put counter measures against the virus’ effect while 2021 is promising.

Oozing with confidence, I-Six mouthpiece noted that the company’s positive attitude paid off.

I-Six is 100% owned local Research and Training Company focusing on Socio-Economic, Health, Environmental and Human Resource Development spaces having come into existence in 2010.

It is led by Managing Director Tlhaloganyo Kaisara – a renowned local economist and researcher.

In an interview last year, Kaisara reiterated that the company has seen a significant growth with a noteworthy footprint in Botswana, regionally as well at global level.

“Our business coverage is in the fields of consultancy and research is quite an impressive one. Research takes us everywhere in Botswana. Our clients is also extensive and it covers civil society, government and parastatals.  We now get business from private sector as well,” Kaisara said at a time.

Kaisara holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Botswana (UB) as well as post graduate qualifications in Health Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and in the Project Management respectively.
