BotswanaPost grew in leaps and bounds in the 2021/22financial year reporting a record profit before tax of P64.1 million – a whooping increase of 211%.

The state-owned postal services entity disclosed its sterling performance in its latest 2021\22 annual report. According to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at BotswanaPost Ofentse Mabote, the overall growth in revenue was attributed two main factors being digital strategy and agency segment.

Mabote indicated that the successful execution of their digital strategy continues to bear fruit, enabling them to attract, retain and engage customers – and redefine the nature of their relationship with them.

“The Agency segment houses a suite of services which are highly technologically driven. Overall, this category grew by 6.9%. Leading the charge were payments and collections services which grew by 12.1% and electricity commission at 15%,” said Mabote.
