Hilton Garden Inn Botswana is at the last stage of completion; with finishing touches being applied in readiness for opening to customers early next year. The hotel – one of the most famous hotel brands around the world – is a favourite of savvy business travelers.

The hotel in Botswana is owned by Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund (BPOPF) in partnership with Hilton as the management company.

Located in the Central Business District (CBD), the hotel aims to give customers an experience that is worthy of the reputation that they have around the world in the 109 countries that they operate in.

Hilton Inn Botswana Managing Director Evan Harrington said they boast of being able to give Batswana exactly what they want but on a different level. He said they are honoured to be opening the hotel to the people of Botswana and he is happy that they have achieved all their targets.

He said he is proud to have employed locals in the business.

“This to us is a very important point because Batswana are known for their hospitality and that is why we are nurturing and growing their talent,” he said.

He disclosed that they have equal representation of both males and females within their structure starting from management.

The hotel boasts of a pleasant entrance chill area – dubbed the social space – where they enable their customers to sit and work all day while they have their coffee or anything they like.

He said in everything that they did they wanted to show a celebration of Botswana and USA where the brand originates, with all the artworks in the hotels coming from locals.

One of their trademarks – the digital check-in – has also been introduced in the local hotel. “We have so many great things, and we are proud to even say that the Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone will be the first one in Sub Saharan Africa to have a digital key and for Botswana hospitality, so no need for a plastic key and that means our clients can check themselves in online and just go straight to their rooms without even bothering about the reception,” he emphasized. He said they are very excited about opening their doors to Batswana and all travelers to Botswana and urging them to come and share the experience.
