A team of seven University of Botswana staff has set out on an aggressive mission to market the university and recruit international students in Nigeria’s three cities of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

The mission to Nigeria is to have prospective students applying on site and in real time. This week, the team, drawn from key departments of Public Affairs, Academic Services and Information Technology, descended on Nigeria’s city of Lagos on an aggressive student recruitment drive.

The Lagos leg took off to a flying start with no less than 60 prospective students penning down their interest to enrol with the University of Botswana for various under-graduate and post-graduate programmes. The applicants were promptly assisted on site.

Today (January 21, 2019), the team is busy serving the Abuja community before proceeding to Port Harcourt for the final leg of the trip.
