Process under way to identify successor, with Mpumi to move into new role on 1 January 2022
De Beers Group has announced that Nompumelelo βMpumiβ Zikalala will leave her role as Managing Director of De Beers Group Managed Operations at the end of 2021 to take up the position of CEO of Anglo Americanβs Kumba Iron Ore business.
The process to identify Mpumiβs successor as Manging Director of De Beers Group Managed Operations is well under way, with the successful candidate to be announced once the process has been finalised. Mpumi will remain in her current role until the end of the year, helping to ensure a seamless leadership transition, supported by the strong senior management team she has established at De Beers Group Managed Operations.
