Forensic Audit: BDP unshaken

BLLAHWU Secretary General, Ketlhalefile Motshegwa, on Wednesday heaved a sigh of relieve when the High Court dismissed with costs an application by a section of the union leadership who wanted him (SG) removed from his position.
1st Vice President Nicholas Mothelesi and Treasurer General Baone Seloka had dragged BLLAHWU, its leadership and Motshegwa to court seeking to have the employment contract of the latter declared unlawful, nulified and terminated immediately. Despite being part of the decision to employ and renew Motshegwa’s contract, Mothelesi and Seloka had lost the matter on urgent application before Judge Bengbame Sechele on the 15th July 2020. They then lodged the matter on normal course which was heard by Judge Itumeleng Segopolo, and judgment delivered today (23rd June 2021), and their application was dismissed with costs with the Court declaring that Motshegwa’s employment as BLLAHWU Secretary General is in order, a taken by delegates at the 2019 Congress held at Adansonia hotel,  Francistown and later confirmed by Central Executive Committee (CEC) in June 2020.
The duo had also brought two more cases against Motshegwa and the Union this year which they have lost, thus giving Motshegwa victory and stronghold on the Union.
