It is with great delight and honour to receive P300 000.00 worth of fuel today from Kwa Nokeng Oil. My Ministry, through Central Transport Organisation (CTO), which is charged with ensuring availability of fuel for government fleet welcomes every drop of fuel into its tanks.

This donation is a welcome development especially that we are faced with challenges brought about by COVID-19 pandemic where fuel is hard to source. This is not the first time that Kwa Nokeng Oil is contributing towards the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The company has offered truck spaces around Pandamatenge and Martins Drift as quarantine facility for truck drivers.

In May 2020, the company started an initiative of providing truck drivers with food and refreshments worth P205 000 throughout the country’s road network. We must applaud companies such as Kwa Nokeng Oil which continue to heed the call by Government to join hands in fighting the COVID -19 pandemic through making financial contributions or otherwise.

I wish to encourage other companies and individuals to assist as Government welcomes any contributions not matter how insignificant they may appear. I wish to remind people that we are not yet out of the woods and wish to them to continue practicing social distancing, wear masks all the time and washing of hands with soap or sanitize frequently.

I wish to also encourage you to continue observing as well as adhering to all health protocols.
