DJ Crispin The Drummer is also hoping to walk away home with Best Dance DJ award category.

‘‘I have been putting extra effort as I am aiming to win the two awards I am nominated for. It’s been quite a long time since I got nominated for the YAMAS but I did not win any single award. This time around we are confident a new dawn is up for Crispin,” he said.

He anticipates working with popular South African musician Master KG to produce a hit song, saying he is confident the deal will materialise as negotiations are on-going.

Back home he has approached one of the most decorated local musicians Kwasa Kwasa star Franco to remix one of his hit songs, adding that he is also working with Khoisan to compose a song.

As part of pushing the brand the outspoken artist revealed that he will be launching a Mobile Application that will be utilised for buying his tickets online, merchandise and bookings as well.

His advice to other local artists is that they should view themselves as brand beyond themselves just being artists, urging them to have a management team for them to be fully successful.

“South African artists such as Casper Nyovest are what they are because of support from their good management teams that specialise on different roles. I am also going this route to give a team the responsibility to manage everything while I focus on performance alone,” he added.
