With everything that is changing around us in these challenging times, you can rely on us to put your needs at the heart of everything we do. As circumstances require you and your loved ones to spend more time at home, we remain committed to supporting you with the best available programming, to keep you and your family entertained and informed. As we all adjust to new ways of living, you can trust us to be your constant companion wherever you are.

In light of the disruptions to the school year in some markets, we are working to give you access to the best available educational content, to help keep young minds stimulated and engaged.

We will provide you with broad access to credible information at this time, by making news channels more widely available across the continent. We have been in constant communication with health authorities such as the World Health Organisation, and we will be rolling out an Africa-wide public service announcement on Covid-19. It is important that all of us take heed of the announcements and advice from trusted experts so that we can look after our own health and that of our loved ones

From today:

Stay in the Know
To ensure that we provide you with broad access to credible information at this time, we are making news channels more widely available in our markets. From today we have included CNN (channel 415), Euronews (channel 414) on the DStv Access package. We are also introducing the brand-new Africa-focused news channel Africanews (channel 417) to all packages until 1 May, when it will be available from the DStv Family package.

For the Kids
We are making revision accessible for lessons and edutainment, adding educational channels Da Vinci (DStv 318) and fun programming on Cartoon Network (channel 310) on DStv Access until the end of May to help keep young minds stimulated and engaged

Re Live Sports
As you are aware, live sport is massively impacted; we have acquired the best award-winning sport documentaries from around the globe and produced thematic channels for you to relive the greatest sporting moments of all time. In addition, we have opened SS1 to DStv Compact Plus and Compact, this channel will thrill customers with past sport stories that have created some of sports most magical moments. Also opened is SS7 which will showcase Motorsport action to DStv Access. To learn more about the themed channel offering, visit www.SuperSport.com.

Customer care

We care for our staff and during this time we have encouraged those that are able to work from home to do so. This means that you may experience a delay in our ability to service you. However, we have a number of self-service and online platforms available, and we will do our best to sort out any issues you may have, timeously.

How to set up for the next few weeks?

Get up and running on our self-service platforms

•     Are you on the most affordable deal for your budget? Visit www.dstvafrica.com to learn more about our available packages

•     Pay remotely using cellphone/online banking, Orange Money, or Mascom MyZaka, without leaving the couch!

•     Get DStv Now and Showmax sorted out for all your family members

•     Need an installation? We have implemented extra measures to limit exposure and safeguard the wellbeing of both our customers and accredited DStv installers, whilst installing in your home.

Schedule changes

These unusual circumstances have impacted a number of sports, film and production crews globally, as they are not able to continue working. We will keep you updated in the coming days and weeks as to programme schedules and changes on www.dstvafrica.com
