Former President, Festus Mogae has been hailed by many for successful efforts in combatting the HIV/AIDS pandemic, which once threatened to wipe away the nation of Batswana from the face of the earth.
According to a retired University of Botswana lecturer, School of Nursing Associate Professor Esther Seloilwe, while in government, Mogae demonstrated able leadership which ensured the country mitigate the effects of the devastating HIV/AIDS disease which was killing citizens and stalling national productivity.
