Botswana Life Insurance Limited (Botswana Life), continues to commit to being a consistent and trusted partner to Batswana, leveraging collaboration and innovation to create true shared value for customers and community. The leading life insurer understands customers’ need for a stable support system through this uncertain socio-economic period, as well as the desire for seamless service delivery, in line with Botswana Life’s Customer Delight mandate. In yet another effort to achieve this, Botswana Life, through parent the BIHL Group and Sanlam Emerging Markets, is proud to launch a partnership with the Botswana’s largest retail prepaid network, Kazang, to allow customers to pay their Mosako funeral policy premiums at various locations. The partnership brings convenience, access and inclusion to the fore.

The partnership will result in customers have access to more than two thousand additional points for paying their premiums through vendors in the Kazang network. The Kazang premium collections capability is over and above other premium collections methods such as banking, online, the Post Office and collections through mobile network operators, which adds even greater value for customers. Building on this, more than two thousand Kazang agents will also able to generate sales referrals which will be processed by the Botswana Life call centre. The sales referral process therefore leads to more than two thousand distribution touch points through lead generations, bringing Botswana Life closer to valued customers.

Botswana Life Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Samuels, said: “We are as dedicated as ever to showing up in every way possible for Batswana. In launching this partnership, we are working to provide ease and comfort to all those we serve. Batswana will now have the option of paying their Mosako Funeral policies through Kazang outlets across Botswana. The partnership will also allow for customers to leave their details at any Kazang outlet in order to join the Funeral Policy. As we start paving the way towards the next 45 years of growing further with Batswana, we hope this partnership serves as one of the first building blocks towards socioeconomic prosperity for our Nation.”

The Mosako Funeral Plan therefore assists policyholders by covering up to 27 family members. In a time of great uncertainty, such services may help in providing solace. The Mosako-Kazang payment plan is yet another way Botswana Life extends itself to ensure the long-term welfare of its customers even through turbulent times.

As the Kazang network is located in all parts of Botswana, most notably villages and townships, rural areas, remote areas and other underserved and unserved communities, the collaborating allows for greater contribution to efforts by Government to champion meaningful financial inclusion. This also promotes participation of the informal sector, entrepreneurs, spaza shops, SMEs and other community platforms participating in the value and supply chain to ensure that financial inclusion becomes a reality.
