BBS Limited is pleased to inform its current and potential customers as well as stakeholders that it has launched an insurance agency called BBS Insurance Agency Limited; whose purpose is to provide insurance agency services and bespoke insurance products to customers. The insurance agency is part of the long-term strategic intent of BBS Limited to diversify its portfolio and offering.The Agency was officially licenced by the Non-Bank Financial Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) on Wednesday 08 June 2022.

BBS Limited Acting Managing Director Susan Ntsima indicated that “BBS Insurance Agency Limited comes at an opportune time when BBSL is developing multiple pathways to diversify its income streams. Management is pleased that the Insurance agency will offer a convenient one-stop service for our customers.” BBS Insurance Agency Limited is underwritten by Hollard Insurance Botswana.This partnership will ensure that customers are provided with the most optimal covers taking into account their financial needs.

For his part, the Principal Officer of BBS Insurance Agency Limited Mr Odirile Metsi stated that “while the Agency will initially offer insurance cover for mortgage customers, its bancassurance will extend to other products and services when the parent company BBSL becomes a commercial bank.” For convenience, BBS Insurance Agency services are available at the BBS Limited Head Office and will be rolled out to other BBSL Branches soon.

BBSL has Branches in Gaborone, Francistown, Lobatse, Palapye, Serowe, Selibe Phikwe, Maun and Kasane. Customers current and potential, may also contact BBS Insurance Agency Limited through the Contact Centre at 3631551/96.
