Alexander Forbes Botswana has donated BWP200 000 in response to the appeal by the Government of Botswana to the private sector, development partners, philanthropists, and individuals to contribute in cash and kind to the Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Fund. The donation is part of the company’s strategic supporting initiatives to assist with relief efforts.  The other supporting initiatives are directed at our clients and our staff.

Poloko Masitara, the Chief Executive Officer of Alexander Forbes Botswana, says the company supports government efforts to protect the people of Botswana from the Covid-19 pandemic whose spread is not only a danger to public health, but can also cause lasting damage to the economy.

“We are therefore making this contribution to bolster government efforts to raise both cash and other essential supplies such as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for medical staff who are in the frontline of this battle against Covid-19. At a company level, we have rigorously instituted stringent health protocols and our employees are serving our clients effectively through remote working whilst simultaneously maintaining social distancing which is one of the most effective and recommended ways of protection against possible infection,” she said.

“We urge our clients and people in Botswana to adhere to the health advice of staying at home, wearing masks in public, washing hands and maintaining social distancing,” said Masitara.
