In times likes these we need a saviour

The Indian Government has proved that the Indian community is not here by accident or for their own gain as they have proved that they value the lives of the people of Botswana. This donation of 30 000 doses that arrived last week will go a long way to save most of us from being wiped out by Covid19. Though most of us have lost our loved ones this comes at the time where most of us realize that everyday is so precious and not sure who the next person to depart is.

We live and survive by the grace of God. We do everything and anything to survive, sometimes using home made remedies we are not even certain about their effectiveness and efficacy. But we thank our  Indian friends for giving us hope by coming to our rescue. I hope other countries will see that what India has done is not a sin but blessings to Botswana and actually emmulate them. In veracular we say “le mme gale bolae go bolaa lefifi”, which  means a small peace of cake is better than nothing.

We thank you once more India for the 30 000 doses and personally I  and sincerely I ask that Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Edwin Dikoloti consider me as one of the first people to be injected, not that I am really scared of death but to prove to my friends and fellows citizens who are doubtful if the injections would work. These are safe jabs and we should not be afraid to take them. In times like these we indeed need a saviour,  friends like India and mostly God.
