iBRANCH RADIO SHOW for UNEMPLOYED YOUTH

Every year our country suffers socio-economically due to the high unemployment rates amongst the youth in Botswana. As the iBRANCH, we have gone an extra mile in the fight against unemployment by coming up with a Radio Show called the iBRANCH RADIO SHOW. It will be a first of its kind in Botswana with a sole mandate of bridging the Recruitment Literacy Gap in Botswana.

The Recruitment Literacy Gap has been for years responsible for the failure to secure jobs by the most qualified young Batswana and through the Radio Show, we give HR Practitioners/Hiring Managers/Employers from various industrial sectors an opportunity to join us live on the show and network with job-seekers on a nationwide scale. This networking allows for seamless sharing of information between the employer and the jobseekers. We started this initiative after realizing the mistakes jobseekers make when applying to jobs through our mobile app. Therefore through this facilitation, the job-seekers would be able to get 1st hand advices

and tips directly from the employers on nationwide scale. This will consequently equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge needed to increase their chances of securing jobs.

We have partnered with ORANGE BOTSWANA and the BOTSWANA INNOVATION HUB to make the non-profit show a success. The show is set to start on Wednesday the 9TH OF OCTOBER 2019 and will continue on weekly basis every Wednesday from 10:15AM – 10:30AM at (RB2) RADIO BOTSWANA 2.

We urge all the unemployed youth in Botswana to anticipate this radio show and utilize it for the acceleration of their attachments, internship and employment placements.
