Franco’s Soul Fill Up

The long awaited Soul Fill up music festival to be headlined by kwasa-kwasa king, Frank Lesokwane alias Franco will be staged April 2 at the National Stadium.

The festival that should have happened April last year after countless requests from kwasa-kwasa fans was postponed due to COVID- 19 pandemic.

Soul Fill up project manager, Phempheretlhe Pheto told a media briefing Wednesday that preparations for the much anticipated event had resumed and progressing well.

The festival was set to celebrate Franco’s achievements in the music industry as a solo artiste since 2011 and part of the profits from the festival were channeled towards assisting under-privileged in the entertainment industry and so far, two have been benefitted.

Pheto said Rapelang Gabaeme alias DJ Bafana was assisted with music equipment while a dancer from MC Maswe group, Boikhutso Kgwatlhe had her house renovated.

“We are aware that people are questioning our next move and waiting in anticipation especially that festivals have been given the green light. We are still on and wish to inform that tickets bought before COVID-19 are still valid and there will be no extra charge,” he said.

Pheto said the suspension was a total blow considering that some logistics were already paid for and there would be no refund. Nonetheless, he promised revelers a show to remember.

For his part, Franco maintained that the lineup would comprise local artistes only, to embrace and encourage them.
