Construction of the new Kgosi Sechele I Museum at Ntsweng Heritage Site will start soon after a contractor is appointed for the project. The entrance to Ntsweng will serve as a ‘portal’ into the museum, both physically and conceptually. Notice boards will provide information regarding what the Site Museum offers, as well as programs of events, and community notices. A reception counter serviced from the Gate House will allow the staff there to provide further information and assistance to visitors.
Contractors registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB), Code 1, Sub-code 01, Grade E,have been invited for a works contract for the construction of the Proposed Ntsweng Site Museum and Related Infrastructural Development at Molepolole together with all associated site works for Kgosi Sechele I Museum at Molepolole. The tender is an open domestic construction companies who are domiciled in Botswana.
The collection of Tender documents is currently ongoing starting 1st June 2020. Tenders can be collected from the Department of National Museum and Monuments, HQ, Plot 331, Indepence Avenue (opposite Roman Catholic Church), Gaborone, Procurement block (supplies office).
Bids for the project will be opened immediately after tender closing on the 3rd July 2020 at 1000hrs, MENT, MTC Gaborone, Office No.22, old Ministry of Trade and Industry Building Annexe 3, Next to Parliament.
