Stanbic Bank Botswana joined the rest of the diaspora in celebrating Africa’s youth. Youth Day is a pivotal reminder of the role that young people played in the struggle for freedom and democracy in South Africa. The Class of 1976 exposed to the international community the brutality of apartheid and in turn ignited a global force of resistance against the country, which became instrumental in dismantling apartheid.

The Day of the African Child serves as an opportunity to raise awareness for the ongoing need to improve the lives of children living across our beautiful continent. Africa’s youth are the beacon of tomorrow. The Bank’s overarching aspiration is to improve the lives of Batswana in line with its Business Strategy which includes the Youth Employability Agenda. The Bank aims to empower Botswana’s youth with the necessary motivation and infrastructure to help improve employability. This is yet another opportunity for the Bank to help build legacies and invest in youth employability and entrepreneurship, working with key partners and stakeholders across the public and private sector to realise this ambition.”
