Death like a cruel thief of the night has robbed us of the productive citizen of this country. This was said by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi when paying tribute to the late Debswana Managing Director Mr Albert Milton at a memorial service held in Ba Isago yesterday.
President Masisi described Milton as a stalwart public servant, a father, a husband, a brother, a son and a compatriot whose death has spread shock and pain throughout the country. He said Milton was the man that the government was ready to send to South Sudan to help put in place its mining ecosystem.
“I say this with pride of knowing that this is the man who represented some of the best of what Botswana is, so we too feel the absence of Milton but remain grateful for the short length of time we spent with him” he said.
President Masisi on behalf of Government and Batswana at large extended his heartfelt sincere condolences to Milton’s family.
“I want to thank Milton, his family, Debswana and all the employees for you to have helped Milton to become the best that he was” he said.
