Bank Gaborone champions inclusion, diversity 

… Supports Down Syndrome Association of Botswana

Bank Gaborone and the Down Syndrome Association of Botswana (DSAB) continue their partnership to promote inclusivity and equity in society. Staff members and the Bank raised an amount of P25,000 to donate to the association.

The Bank recognizes the importance of inclusivity, equity, and diversity and considers itself a catalyst for positive change. As a result, Staff members raised P13,500.00 whilst the Bank matched the amount to make a total of P25,000.00. By collaborating with DSAB, Bank Gaborone aligns its purpose with Botswana’s Vision 2036 pillar of Social Inclusion and Equality, which aims to enhance social well-being and quality of life for all citizens.

Bank Gaborone, Chief Financial Officer, Tsaone Raboloko expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. He stated, “At Bank Gaborone, we firmly believe in providing equal opportunities for every individual to thrive. We are honoured to have staff members who take the initiative to assist organisations such as DSAB. We are happy to collaborate with the Down Syndrome Association of Botswana and support their mission of empowering individuals with Down Syndrome. Together, we can build a society where everyone is valued and included.”

The Chairperson of the Down Syndrome Association of Botswana, Marina Ngwako, commended Bank Gaborone for their ongoing commitment. She shared, “We are grateful for the continuous support from Bank Gaborone. Their contribution has been instrumental in furthering our initiatives and improving the lives of individuals with Down syndrome. We have initiated the ‘Buy A Plot Fund,’ which aims to purchase and construct dedicated offices for our association. The P35,000.00 donated by Bank Gaborone since 2022 will be allocated to this fund, bringing us closer to our goal.”
