In this regard, the Corporation is looking for dynamic, zealous, and qualified individuals to submit applications for the following position and join the BDC team to drive its transformational agenda.
Head Strategy
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead and direct the Strategy departmental functions and activities including but not limited to strategic planning, monitoring and reporting, project and change management, strategic partnerships and alliances, research, sector and portfolio impact analysis, business continuity planning and process improvement in order to enhance the performance of BDC and its subsidiaries in alignment with its mandate. You will therefore be responsible for the coordination of the corporate strategy planning and development process including the review of its mandate, vision, mission, core values, strategic objectives, internal products, services and external operating environment and past portfolio performance.
You will also be expected to facilitate research on sector trends, forecasts, competitive benchmarking, changes in macro-economic and micro-economic landscape, technological, social, regulatory and governance developments which mayimpact BDC’s portfolio of companies or future investments. Youwill be required to establish partnership frameworks for identifying, developing, building and maintaining value adding strategic partnerships to aid the advancement of BDC’s mandate and strategy agenda. You are to oversee the management and monitoring of all strategic projects and programmes and enforce all policies and processes related to project governance, planning, resourcing, implementation and management. The successful candidate will drive the assessment of corporate performance against approved strategy and plans, and provide feedback to executive management, the Board and other stakeholders. You are to facilitate the consolidated performance measurements, monitoring and evaluation of the Corporation’s investment portfolio through performance monitoring methodologies dashboards and data analytics. You also contribute to the establishment and maintenance of investment risk mitigation strategies and policies.
The incumbent should have minimum of three (3) years’ experience at management level in a strategy or business advisory role in a medium-to-large organisation, preferably in the financial services sector, Additionally, the candidate should have extensive experience in strategy management and leading strategic or transformational projects. You should have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Commerce, Finance or related helds.
