With the 11th Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) awards capping off what was a successful Botswana International Entertainment Week it is safe to say the awards season has amazingly concluded in style! From Women of Song workshop in the beginning to the acclaimed Botswana International Music Conference and finally the BOMU music awards there are so many takeaways from this year’s Entertainment week.
XI BOMU AWARDS
The grand performances, poignant speeches and triumphs defined a night with the stars. The awards ceremony held at the
GICC were aired live on Botswana Television (BTV) on December 3, 2022. Legendary radio host Dollar Mac co-hosted the
show with Phly Honey. From the opening sequence of Mophato electrifying the stage to Kabelo Tiro grabbing the song of
the year award just before he officially shut down the awards ceremony, there were no short of wow moments at this year’s
